The trick to getting extra good loot for Christmas is to be good. Ignore the jerks around you and don't fight. Stay focused keep your eyes on the prize, stay cool, be positive. Dennis is being extra specially good this year.

Dennis is okay with waiting for dinner, but Dennis would like to see the menu NOW please so he can place his order. Dennis says Thank You.

Hands Free Hugging

Dennis likes hands-free hugging (Demonstrating it here with Eddy) because then Dennis can send text messages and drink coffee while hugging. Dennis wished he'd invented hands-free hugging but it was invented by Harpo Marx.


Harpo is concentrating on harping and hugging simultaneously - Dennis had the photo cropped to protect the identity of the shy person being leg hugged and to avoid more legal issues.

Dennis Loves Evelyn

Dennis pretends not to like people for several reasons:
1. Dennis has his moods
2. Dennis is really very shy
3. Dennis will get more bribe treats (like most of your chicken sandwich) by acting this way.

Dennis is Alpha Cat

As long as Dennis can touch the ceiling, he is alpha cat because alpha means highest cat, not smartest or bravest or most confident. Dennis says any person who climbs up on top their roof or in a tree and just sits there will be considered alpha person on the block, and will be respected.

Dennis Has Been Busy

Dennis has been busy napping, crying for food, staying up all night, wrestling, and hiding out in cupboards.

Dennis had a Birthday

Baby Dennis again. Dennis turned 9 years old yesterday.

Dennis will be celebrating his birthday for one week. The big parties are this weekend.

Dennis Loves Lambchop

Dennis found his old Lambchop doll up in the attic and spent the entire day using it as a pillow.


Dennis remembered Lambchop from his kitten days, which led to lounging around reminiscing for eight hours. Bobby stopped by briefly to check out the situation, then moved on.

Dennis has ADD

Dennis has been spending most of his very limited computer time hanging out on one blog. Dennis thinks he might have a crush on someone. There's just something about Aoise. Dennis can't stop looking at her pictures on her blog. Dennis has ADD ( Aoise distracting Dennis.)

Dennis Begins Writing Memoirs

Dennis has decided to write his memoirs since he has had many interesting lives. His unusually close relationship with Salvadore Dali will be revealed in detail. Dennis says he may devote several chapters of the book to his interactions with famous people.

Dennis & SAD

Dennis has been staying inside cupboards and just has no energy. Maybe he has that winter affliction called SAD (Seasonal Apathetic Dennis.)

Dennis is Frustrated

Dennis is (at times) a genial and quiet fellow, deeply devoted to his humans and fellow cats. But Dennis is frustrated because Dennis tried and tried to post a video here and finally gave up. You can see it HERE at YouTube.

Not Funny!

Dennis says "Not Funny!" Open the damn can of cat food!

Sometimes humans try to be funny. Pathetic.

Dennis Dictates

Dennis is facing a series of lawsuits from the Dennis Look-A - Like Contest and so needs to dictate some letters and so forth to his lawyer, Stanford Fellowship.


Sometimes an e mail will not do, especially since Mr. Fellowship has no computer. A friend sent this timely note, (check out the note paper with her picture on it) so Dennis wants a notepad with Dennis on it. Dennis will not write down a thing until he gets his note pad.


Dennis did try to write once without success.

Dennis Loves Fish

Dennis has a recurring dream in which a large fish is falling from the sky. Dennis tries to catch it but the fish always just evaporates the way things do in dreams.

Dennis has a favorite fish (Wild Alaskan Salmon.)

Dennis has a Statue for Thursday

Dennis leads a mostly indoor life, so exposure to statues is very limited. A statue is, according to Webster, a life-size or bigger than life-size figure of someone or something.

Dennis owns one item that might be called a mini partial statue. Dennis owns a bust of The Wolfman. The bust is always in the werewolf stage, it never turns back into a human form. Dennis says his statue is based on Lon Chaney Jr. who starred with Claude Rains in the 1941 movie The Wolfman. Dennis likes what the gypsy woman says.


Dennis learned recently that there are lots of wolfmans besides Lon Chaney, Jr.

Dennis Gets New Digs

Dennis noticed that the noisy *de-cluttering movement of the past week has given him new napping areas. This is the bottom half of an armoire (after clutter was removed there was room for a cat bed.) Dennis says the heater is behind this armoire thing, so it's napfabulous.


Still there are many other places around the house to snooze. Dennis says "Keep it quiet! I'm trying to nap here!"



*The movement seems to be popular lately, donating, cleaning out cupboards and closets, simplifying.
