Dennis & the Ten~Ten Rule

Dennis spends yet another week spending quality time with Eddy. Dennis thinks Eddy is kind of fun to watch for ten minutes! Things are going very well!

Dennis screams "Agghhh! My ten minutes are up, it's Ched's turn to watch Eddy!"

Dennis says the next day was better, as Eddy has calmed down quite a bit. Dennis says "He's mellowing out, respecting his elders and all that."

Dennis screams "He bit my tail!" But the Ten~Ten rules seem to be working, Ten minutes for Dennis is plenty of quality time. (Ched sighs... in ten hours, Dennis will help out again.)

Dennis Revises the Rules

Dennis calls a family meeting. Dennis says this is how it's going to be. Dennis is in charge of quality time with Eddy, and Ched is in charge of quantity time with Eddy.

Dennis is in charge first. Dennis spends ten minutes bird watching with Eddy. Dennis says "Look Eddy! That bird is called a Robin, maybe..."

Ched's turn lasts for ten hours. An exhausted (but too wired to sleep) Ched can't believe energetic Eddy finally fell asleep.

Dennis explains he's been busy for ten hours testing new cat beds for Eddy. Dennis wants to be sure the beds are perfect for Eddy. Dennis says it's just part of the job of being a responsible parent.

Dennis Loses his Voice

Dennis has gotten through a week and a day with his new son, Eddy. Most of it was pretty mellow.

Dennis reports the last few days Eddy has gained the wrong sort of confidence and has been very busy every minute making demands and trying to break things. Dennis says it's so hard to be a dad! Nobody listens! Nobody follows the rules!

Dennis retreated to his cupboard above the refrigerator. The kitten can't get up there yet. After a day without a nap, Ched came up and begged Dennis to come down to help watch Eddy.

Ched says Dennis won't answer me.

Dennis has lost his voice from singing and screaming all week long. Dennis sang a lot of opera he was so glad to have a new kitten, but he also screamed out instructions and rules all week too. Now he needs to rest his pipes.

Dennis Loves Eddy

Yes, from day one Dennis loved Eddy, because who can resist a kitten? Not Dennis.

Dennis has been happy to let Chedwick have some say in how Eddy will be raised. Chedwick is the one who plays with Eddy the most, because they both love running at top speed around the house.

Dennis prefers to groom and nurture kittens. Dennis has a strong parenting gene, but once the kittens are older, the power struggle may begin. But...Dennis is mellowing, so we shall see. Dennis says "enjoy your kids while they're little" and "teach your children well."

Dennis has a Theme

Dennis decided his theme is Kitten in a Basket. Dennis can teach other cats how to be a Super Model Cat. This pose is called The Winsome.

Dennis calls this one The Serious Closeup.

Dennis says this is his Sultry Pose.

And to show he's a well-rounded individual, Dennis shows off his Regular Guy Look.

Dennis Ponders

Dennis had his heart broken so he's thinking... maybe he needs to be single for awhile before rushing into a new relationship. How long is a cat-month?

The Vet says a cat year is 5 human years. Dennis doesn't do math.
