You know, one of the ways dogs express their alpha-ness is via piss. Whichever dog pisses highest on any given tree or hydrant is king of the world.
Cats DO express their alpha-ness in the way Dennis has chosen to express his. Don't your boys have one of those wonderful cat "trees" to play and hang out on? Who's usually on top?
Elmo's always in a chair or on the back of the couch or on a bed and Bob's always on the floor.
