Dennis is stunned that people actually witnessed his trashy behavior. Chedwick is just generally stunned. Dennis is very sorry and will issue a formal apology on Monday.

Dennis, I would hiss and growl if only I knew how to do so. I only know how to give the bitey, which is a little bit WORSE than hissing or growling. You should be proud of your communication skills.

Elmo never apologizes.
He just swats Bob and leaves the room in a total hissy fit.
Lucky for Elmo, Bob doesn't give a fat damn about Elmo and his big bad moods.
I keep telling Elmo that he better be nice to Bob because Bob's the only friend Elmo's got.
So far, Elmo isn't interested in hearing that truth.

we are just friends. He is my older room-mate. He sometimes forgets we are friends.

Dennis was motherly, and took care of Chedwick when Chedwick was a kitten, but eventually Chedwick rebelled against the kind of rough "forced grooming sessions" and forced co-napping. that was when the miscommunication began, because Dennis calls the shots 24/7 or there's trouble.
Dennis is no relation to Chedwick though. Dennis is 2 years older.

Dennis needs help to control his anger and outbursts. Good to sort out the relationship between the two. I thought they were brothers from different litters.

Does Dennis do the bitey as well as hissing and saying nasty words? violence never solves anything Big D. Is the other cat annoying? if so try to be the smarter cat. say nothing and walk away.
