Dennis was in charge this weekend and spent a good deal of time trying to avoid Eddy -- and Ched wasn't much help, either. We shirked as much as possible, which wasn't easy with a little tornado loose in the house.
It seems Eddy has discovered the short Power Nap which enables him to be extremely active, feisty, and annoying most of the time. Without humans around to play and interact with him, he is completely wild. Dennis has found little time to visit all the cat bloggers that he loves, so is taking some time off to do just that.

It is very hard work with those little mancats in training running around like little mini tornados.
Dennis looks angry and Ched scared.
Dennis needs to develop his supervisory skills. Whap!
Sometimes its easier just to give in...really !
it's very assuring that dennis has picked up the mantle of leadership! someone's gotta be in charge and with dennis caring (but firm) ways it is a good fit - taming a tornado is most difficult
It's a hard life, Dennis, when there's a youngster in the house. I think Dennis will have to find a way of sabotaging Eddy's power naps.
Yes, Dennis needs to develop the WHAP.
Power naps? Do those actually work? They don't work for me!

Dennis, it sounds like it is harder to shirk your responsibility than just to shoulder it!
It's one thing to have Eddy wake you while you're trying to sleep, it's a whole other thing to have him run and jump at high speed and land heavily on you.
plus he bites.
You guys sure have your paws full.
Poor Dennis needs some rest :)
You guys need to organize a roster between yourselves to keep Eddy entertained while the other one naps.
You guys do look like you are in need of some "alone time". Is there anywhere you can have a Eddy-Free zone?

Even the top of the fridge isn't safe anymore. :-(
Dennis, Chedwick, Elmo totally commiserates with you.
Bob still wrestles with Elmo from time to time and makes poor old Elmo cry, probably because Bob is younger and stronger and um, BIGGER than Elmo (Bob outweighs Elmo by 4 pounds).
Plus, Elmo's a touch arthritic. Those old bones, no matter how tough their owner thinks he is, can't take all that banging around the way they used to.
Patience, boys. That's all I can say. Patience.
Cross your paws and hope that the surgery in Eddy's future will take him down a coupla notches, energy wise.
If that doesn't work, god help you.
(grin)
Dennis, you do look quite fierce in that photo. Remember to be firm but just with the little ankle-biter.
Maybe you need another kitten, then Eddy will have someone to play with.
Let the cattitude kick in, Dennis!
Doodz. Power Naps is not good.
