Dennis says it's hard to get a really good nap in an open space like this. Dennis is often bothered by other cats, so Dennis sleeps in cupboards and closets. Dennis sometimes hides too well and gets stuck in places when the humans go away. Dennis says there is always a risk in being reclusive but other cats are such a pain.

Dennis is Slightly Disturbed
Dennis says it's hard to get a really good nap in an open space like this. Dennis is often bothered by other cats, so Dennis sleeps in cupboards and closets. Dennis sometimes hides too well and gets stuck in places when the humans go away. Dennis says there is always a risk in being reclusive but other cats are such a pain.

Elmo IS the only cat (in his own mind).
Elmo is on cloud nine when Bob is outdoors wandering around the yard on his leash. Nothing makes Elmo happier than those brief moments when Elmo truly is the only cat in the world.
Then Bob comes in and falls all over Elmo happier than happier to see his old grampa cat.
And Elmo goes back to grumbling about wanting to be the only cat in the world even as Bob is lavishing him with loving licking attention.
Elmo was born a curmudgeon.
Apparently, Dennis, so were you.
Which, in my mind, only makes you more lovable.
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the curmudgeons of the world.
Dennis, I feel your pain. I would like to decimate my twelve housemates and be an Only Cat. But to do that, I'd have to interact with them, albeit briefly.
*sigh*
