Dennis Has Friends, Sort of...
Dennis has a friend named Henry. Dennis is a little bit afraid of this friend, but Dennis says things are mostly okay with this friend. Dennis says friendships are hard work, because Dennis is boss of everything and sometimes the friends of Dennis don't realize this and won't obey Dennis. Dennis says Henry has not learned that Dennis is in charge of the world. Dennis doesn't know how to fix Henry.

Regarding your post below, if it's any consolation, the obsessive grooming behavior might disappear on its own.
Bob was balding himself--front and back paws and legs, and embarrassingly, his belly--until he just stopped. All of his white fur has grown back and his freaky pink bald spots are gone.
Elmo commiserates with you on the whole boss of everything issue. Bob has no idea Elmo is the boss of Bob. This frustrates Elmo.
Bob is blissfully ignorant of Elmo's bossiness.

Does Dennis want to be the boss of Henry or his friend? You just can't boss your friends around.
Dennis really has me thinking about this boss/friend thing. At home, Cat King Cole apparently is the boss of Mango, but mostly they wrestle everyday and snuggle every night, so is that friendship? At work, I am tired of being the boss, so I bossily told the "kids" to start helping each other as a team and stop bugging me so much. And they should improve their spelling.
